National institute of Personnel Management (Punjab Chapter), a non profit making orga association of HR Professionals in the states of Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, J&K and Chandigarh organized a session on “Latest Changes In Employee Pension Scheme and New Initiatives by EPFO” in Chandigarh .The event was organized at Hotel Park Inn Chandigarh in collaboration with PF Department.
Mr SP Bansal, Chairman, NIPM (Punjab Chapter) gave hearty welcome to Officials from EPFO and the Chief Guest and speaker for the evening Mr Ashim Chhabra and his colleague Mr. Lokesh Gupta Asst. P F Commissioners .and explained achievements and plans of the Chapter. Mr. Ajay Bakshi, Hon..Secretary, introduced the subject and highlighted Importance of the session in light of the latest changes and the concerns of the HR fraternity and Pensioners under EPS .
The speaker on the occasion Mr. Ashim Chhabra, Assistant PF Commissioner Chandigarh emphasized upon the various changes that have been brought about with regard to Pension Scheme and EPF in the light of Judgment of Hon. Supreme Court in case filed by Mr. RC Gupta allowing enhanced Pension and how they impacted the employees in both exempt and not exempted Establishments. Mr. Chhabra addressed various queries related to the pension schemes under the PF that has undergone recent changes and informed regarding acceptance of applications by EPFO from PF subscribers who have retired upto Nov 2014 allowing enhanced Pension on meeting certain requirements regarding contribution.
The highly interactive session was attended by more than 50 HR & Management professionals from reputed organizations like Sun Pharma, Max India, Steel Strips, Molson Coors, Akorn Pharma ,Class India , Ind Swift ,PCPL and Puncom. The program was well received and appreciated by participants.
Mr. JasbirSingh, Addl. Secretary and, Dr M M Singh, Vice Chairman NIPM(Pb Chapter) facilitated & co-ordinated the program. Mr Ravinder Chadha, Vice president HR, PCPL proposed a vote of Thanks . The session was followed by high tea.
